BR: The Face Shop, SkinFood & Nature Republic BB Creams

I just realized so far I mostly did reviews on facial masks so now I decided to review a cosmetic product, a product the Korean pioneered –BB Cream.
It’s true that Koreans really have almost flawless skin as you may see in dramas, regardless of which gender.
I honestly want their genes.
(*_*)
However, it’s not like they’re sans make up, they wear BB Cream to look more radiant and unlike normal foundation, the texture of BB Cream glides easily on skin and looks more natural.
I went crazy during my Seoul trip and bought seven different types of BB Creams from various brands.

These are the first three I have started using, (left to right)
1. The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX BB Cream SPF20 PA++
2. Skinfood Peach Sake Pore BB Cream SPF20 PA+
3. Nature Republic By Flower BB Cream SPF35 PA++

All come with at least SPF20 which is great because I don’t need to use other sunblock cream.
As you may know, SPF is 'sun protection factor' which protects our skin from UVB ray, the one that causes sunburn.
PA, on the other hand, is protection grade from UVA ray, it may cause long-term skin damage. Thus, the more '+' a product has, the higher protection it has against UVA rays.

Back to the review, the shades are different from one another but after they ‘melt’ into skin, not much difference at all.

Let’s review them individually.
The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX
This is quite cheap, probably around 5kW or RM15 but saw it's sold here for RM29.90 if I’m not mistaken.
The aftermath:
Glides easily on skin and doesn’t suffocate my skin. Covers my skin and blemishes quite well.
Cons:
It’s quite oily and runny for me. I think it suits ones with dry skin so I've passed this to my baby sis.

Skinfood Peach Sake Pore
I cannot remember the price I bought in Seoul but here it costs RM49.90.
The aftermath:
The peach smell is heavenly! It’s very easy to apply and thick enough to cover my blemishes.
Cons:
Tube with pump is just very inconvenient, quite difficult to control the amount needed.
I've been using this for awhile and it doesn’t really cover my pores albeit its name.
That or I probably have humongous pores.
(*_*)

Nature Republic By Flower
Again, not sure the price in Seoul but here I saw it’s sold for RM39.90.
The Aftermath:
The liquid is the thickest among all three but skin is still breathable. It also covers my blemishes and pores quite well.
Cons:
Skin needs to be a bit moist before slapping this because of its thick consistency or it’ll streak on the skin obviously. Not bad and I might repurchase.

Some have claimed that BB Creams may clog pores worse than normal foundation but with proper cleansing, I believe this problem can be avoided.
I personally prefer BB Creams over foundation now mainly because BB Creams provide me a more natural look.
But it's always up to your preference and skin type and condition.

BR: SkinFood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off

I guess by now you'd realize how obsessed I am with facial mask.
(^.^)

This time it's another mask from SkinFood
They really have a good range of masks which is a strong reason why I love the brand so much.
I'd usually buy items online because retail can be quite pricey especially when I have the tendency to buy more than I need. LOL! Unless they're having promotion or sale, I rarely visit the store.

The product that I'm about to review is Black Sugar Mask Wash Off.
Black sugar is said to have more minerals than white and brown sugar.
Japanese women actually prefer to eat black sugar than chocolate for comfort during menstrual.
I got a free sample of the product during a purchase (I can't remember where or when) and I actually had heard raves about it way before I got the sample. So I was excited to try it first-hand.
As you can see, its full size comes in a white tub of 100g.

The texture was kind off gooey and gross. Didn't smell bad but I was actually hoping for it to smell sweet. You know, sweet like sugar.
(*_*)
How to use:
Referring to the package, "after cleansing, gently massage over wet face. Avoid eye area. Rinse off."
I got a bit confused here. When I browsed the website, it's written to leave the mask for about 10-15 minutes before rinsing. The sample probably forgot to state that. LOL!
Anyway, I used it while my face was still a bit wet. As I massaged it onto my skin, the tiny granules sort of dissolved so I left it for 15 minutes.

The aftermath:
My face felt super smooth!
And kind of plumpy that I couldn't stop touching and patting my face.
Usually after a scrub, my face would feel a bit tight but not for this one! Love it!

The cons:
It didn't remove my blackheads, though.
I think it works better as scrub, not mask.

Am now floating in the air...

Daebak!

GMarket goodies!

This actually arrived a looooooong time ago but I had just found the pictures so thought of sharing them here.
It's my first purchase from GMarket Korea through a spree. I waited for about a month for the package to arrive.
As you may see, I bought four facial masks from two brands -TonyMoly & Baviphat. I'm not sure whether both brands are available in Malaysia or not.
The tubs are super duper adorable! I just couldn't resist them!

From left:
TonyMoly EggPore Tightening Pack, RM30.50
TonyMoly Crispy Green Tea Pack, RM30.50
Baviphat Apple AC Sleeping Mask, RM31
Baviphat Strawberry Toxifying Mask, RM29
The others were free gifts/ samples from seller.

I honestly believe the third mask should be 'DEtoxifying mask'. Who would ever want to 'toxify' their skin?!
(*_*)

Anyway, I am soooooo gonna keep these tubs after finishing the contents to keep my pins, brooches, coins, buttons etc.
Super cute!

BR: Skinfood Lemon & Cucumber Packs

Another facial mask review!
(^.^)

I have two Skinfood packs or masks to be reviewed today.
I swapped these with a friend actually, we both are obsessed with skincare especially facial masks. When I'm with her, all we do is talking about the latest beauty items, our skin woes and other stuff only girls can understand. LOL!

As in the first pic, on the left is Lemon Pack while another tube is Cucumber Soothing Mask Wash Off. Both tubes are 50ml.
One of the best traits about Skinfood is that the brand is international enough that it provides instructions in English, even for some of its products sold in Korea. Thus, makes it super easy for everyone to understand rather than the needs to Google it on the Internet, which happens quite frequent for me.
(*_*)
The Lemon Pack is more of an exfoliator (is there such word?!) while The Cucumber Pack is more to soothe and moisturize skin.

*almost similar texture for both*

How to use:
As usual, after cleansing, apply it evenly onto face. Remember to avoid eye & mouth areas.
The Lemon Pack only needs to be left for 5-6mins while The Cucumber Pack 10-15mins.
The aftermath:
Not much but skin did feel a bit refresh and soothing.
Cons:
The effect was super temporary. And honestly, I couldn't really tell the difference between the two masks.
My friend also said the same, apparently.
I will not purchase them in future. There are other much better masks from Skinfood.
These two are just so near to a total waste.

you and me..it's a possibility...

"Everytime I look at you..I wish you looked my way
And flash me that dazzling smile that really makes my day
But of course it's just a dream..a dream that won't come true
and for unrequited love I wrote this song for you
I always think of how it'd be..if we were together
You and me holding hands
(It's a dream)
I can picture it right now
You and me..it's a dream,
It's a possibility...

When I look out of my window
I hope you look up at me
If only you could read my heart
My love so true you'd see
How empty my life would be
If I don't have you
And for unrequited love I wrote this song for you...
..it's a dream... it's a Possibility..."

*Possibility by Intoxicated*

Unrequited love is nasty.

There’s nothing I can do about it.
So near yet so far.
