BR: Skinfood Acorn Jelly Mask

Time for another beauty review!
(^.^)

If you’re into everything Korean, you should have noticed their numerous beauty houses.
Those shops along Myeondong Street is ah-mah-zing! They have everything. I swear I could live there!
One of the earliest is Skinfood which first launched in 1957.
Their motto is “Food that is good for your health, is also good for your skin.”
You can read more about the brand here.

One of their best selling products is Acorn Jelly Mask which is sold at RM68.90 in Malaysia.
I bought mine, a small jar, during my trip to Korea last year. It cost me 3kW or around RM9.
The sale assistant recommended me this mask when I mentioned I had oily skin. I’m not sure what acorn is or how it really tastes but based on the label, it strongly reminds me of Chip & Dale. Hehehe..

 *waaaah so cute!*

*sings: "Chichichichichichichip and Dale, rescue rangers!" LOL!*

*the gooey-slimy-jelly content*

How to use:
After cleansing, slap a thin layer onto face, avoiding lips & eyes areas.
It is jelly-like, easy to scoop out and spread over face thinly.
Wash after one minute. (Yes! Only ONE minute!)
The aftermath:
It really sucks out the oil on my skin! Very efficient! One of the best masks I’ve used so far.
Most suitable if you’re heading for a day or night out because there’s no need to blot every hour.
(*_*)
I’d definitely buy the largest jar next time.
Cons:
The smell is quite baaaaad. I could barely stand the smell during my first time.
Thank God it’s only for a minute.

Save the planet, baby!

Bought this tee at Brands Outlet a few weeks ago.
It always has nice and affordable tee. This cost me only RM50 for 3 pieces. Fair enough to be used as night tee.
I realize now why it's sold at the outlet, the "its" is supposed to be "it's".

Here we go again...

Wow it takes forever for me to update this blog these days.
I’ve always had so many things to write about but most of the times they ended up written in my mind only. It’s not like work has been hovering me but my office is on top of ‘kayangan’ that I’ve become too lazy to stay in the office.

Anyhoooo, work is doing fine, I already finished marking final exam paper and key-ed in the marks. It was hard for me to fail students but I couldn’t just pass them especially with both eyes open when it’s clear they didn’t do well in classes. The next level would be much harder for them and I honestly think they aren’t ready for it. I was worried they couldn’t survive. It took me a few days to finally decide this, it was really hard for me.
*sigh*

*yep, exactly how I feel every single day. LOL!*

Work aside, so many things happened in the last few months.
I went to Jakarta (again!) and bought too many kain ela for myself.
I discovered Malaysian GMarket and bought more facial masks just because they’re freaking cheap than retail.
I attended few friends’ weddings and it is fun attending weddings because it always ends up like a mini gathering.
I watched too many Korean dramas.
I downloaded almost every BigBang’s songs, couldn’t get over them. And oh, TOP is still hot while maknae Seungri is getting hotter nowadays.
I sincerely have so many things I want to share –holidays, beauty stuff, drama reviews etc.

Hopefully now that I’ve no classes I will be able to write frequently.

jaws

Nope, not the flesh-eating fish, people.
These jaws are not scary at all.

BR: eos Organic Lip Balm Smooth Sphere

There are two beauty items I always have in my handbag all the time -lip balm & hand lotion.
My lips get chapped easily and nothing is more annoying than dry lips. It annoys me to the core and leaves me fidgeting my lips with my dirty fingers.
Ugh!
I've used so many brands bought from local pharmacies before I found a favourite. You name it -Nivea, Vaseline, Maybelline, Chapstick, even Biotherm and The Body Shop but they never got me stick to more than once.
Then I found Lip Ice and they have become my favourite ever since!

However, the thing with lip balms we have here in Malaysia is that they all look the same, either in a stick, small tub or tube. How boring...
So when I saw eos Organic Lip Balm Smooth Sphere on Drugstore, it's totally a love at first sight! And the fact that Ed 'Chuck Bass' Westwick digs it too, I knew I just gotta have it!

*my Lip Ice collection but I got bored*

So I ordered my first eos Organic Lip Balm Smooth Sphere from Drugstore through a spree since shipping directly from US would cost me a fortune which is not worth it at all.
I bought the gift pack or 3-in-1 pack as it's cheaper and provides different flavours -strawberry sorbet (pink), sweet mint (green) & passion fruit (purple).
I can't remember the original price in USD but it cost me RM43.86 after conversion.
For a price of three, I won't consider it expensive as I saw Malaysian blogs sell it for up to RM29 per piece excluding shipping.
The packaging is oh la la super duper cute! So irresistible!

*after using it for 2 weeks*

The aftermath:
eos actually stands for Evolution of Smooth and it really lives up to its name. Upon application, there's minty feeling and it doesn't feel sticky or thick. It tastes delicious too!
Reapplication is also needed. Don't expect it to stay long. It's a lip balm, not lipstick.
Cons:
Even though the lip balm is oh-so-cute, I would consider it a bit bulky unlike the other usual lip balms.
It also doesn't have SPF so I probably won't be repurchasing it in future as Malaysia is a blazing hot country and I need my SPF!

my expertise..

Seriously, I'm an expert at buying things I don't need.
If there's any uni offering the subject I'll surely get a PhD in less than a year!
I ordered some cosmetics from US through a spree a couple of months ago.
Spree means you have to order together with other people to cut off the shipping cost.
Shipping cost from US & UK can get very ridiculous!
I had to wait for about 3 weeks for the items to arrive.
Basically spree is simply not for those who do not have any 'patience' in their blood.

Some stuff from elf, Benefit, Stila, eos and LA Colors.
That eos lipbalm is super duper cute!
Will do some beauty reviews soon.

Now, how am I supposed to use all of these??!
This is madness!

such bliss...
