They tried to make me go to rehab, I said, "No, no, no"

Not a chance, honey.

This is cute, isn't it?
But I can't seem to see myself wearing it, not being wedges-fan.

Godfather-ish Heels

*pic credited to Tres Tresors*

Oh yes this is what we call killer heels!
Seriously.
I love to have one!
Imagine if it's a real gun, gonna be really helpful on times when there's robbers or perverts.
And it's in gold, how glam is that?!
I'm sooo gonna feel like I'm a Corleone.
Qils Corleone.
Pergh, already sounds like a mafia name!
Kill! Kill! Die! Die!

Neither do I Mrs. Beckham.
That's why I only wear my flats to my 3hours-3days-straight-a-week M.Ed classes.

Kidding. Just kidding.

Alexander McQueen: A Dedication

Well, on this gloomy day, upon the tragic death of Alexander McQueen,
I decided to dedicate a post on what he and I have (had) loved.
Shoes.

I once wrote here about my love for shoes.
How I practically make 5-inches stilettos practical to wear.

I started out wearing heels because I'm shorter than my youngest sister (duh!) and I actually read somewhere that wearing heels make you look slimmer.
And being a sucker for what the media writes, I succumbed into wearing heels since I-don't-remember-when. I know it may harm my body so I always TRY not to wear them for too long.

Here are some pictures of my current shoes that I purchased.

*this is Casablanca i've chosen for The e-Beautique*

It's super duper comfy!
And the peep-toe adds to another thumb ups because it provides ventilation.
*oh yes. living in this country I truly need that*
It's gorgeous. It looks exclusive. It gives you both the height and hype!
*sold out apparently from my blogshop! sorry darls!*

These two babies were pre-ordered from Le Clothes.
I only waited for like two weeks and yes that was very fast!
I totally in love with them!

*aren't you in love with the plum pair already?*
And little munckin Aish just needed to try on because he was so curious on how this aunty of his could wear such shoes!
When I wore the plum pair his mouth went opened and he was like, "Macam mana Aunty Lah nak jalan ni, tinggi nyeeee!"
He's adorable ok!
Look at those chubby feet & toenails! I rasa macam nak gigit-gigit je! Haha!

And the quality of the shoes?
Although it's pre-ordered (some people complained about the quality before, they said the real thing doesn't look the same as in pics), I must say these babies are worth my every penny spent! And worth every second waiting for them to arrive!
Yes, I will buy again from the blogshop!
Two thumbs up!
=)

I'll write more on shoes later!
A girl can never have too many shoes!

R.I.P. Lee Alexander McQueen

It felt surreal.
I woke up, as usual, turned on my lappie and straight to Perez Hilton.
And I came upon a tragic news on Coco Perez.

"Alexander McQueen Commits Suicide"
*or committed I would say*

He didn't survive. He hanged himself in his flat.
It is said that he's devastated over his mother's death which was a week ago.
He was indeed very close to his mother.

*with his mother in 2001*

Must be a total pain for him.

It is a HUGE loss to the fashion industry.

Alexander McQueen

For all of you who don't know,
Alexander McQueen is not an actor/model/footballer/my dad.
Well, if he is my dad, I would have absolutely nothing to complain about.
Anyway, Alexander McQueen, in my own definition, is an audacious artist whose mind is flooded with wild imagination that will always leave people (especially me!) in awe whenever he strikes his sketching pencil on a blank paper that later turns in masterpieces.
What a long definition, huh?

Hailed from London, born Lee Alexander McQueen enjoys scuba diving during his free time.
His first memory of fashion was when he drew pictures of dresses for his three sisters. So the kid liked drawing. No biggie.
Right...sounds like a normal guy, eh?
Except that he has won 'British Designer of the Year' for four years between 1996-2003 and has worked with Givenchy before, he's not so typical.
Since the last few years, his has transferred his 'artwork' on shoes and the result is insanely amazing!
Don't believe me?
See them yourself!

From a common pair...
To this unique butterfly piece...
And this gorgeous detailed boots...
And to these...!!!

But these shoes below are the ultimate eye-catcher for me! These babies are to die for!

They are called 'Alien', 'Armadillo' and other quirky names that can never equally define them.
It's 10 inches high! 10 inches! 10-bloody-inches!
How on earth would anyone wear them?
I wonder how my chubby feet would bend in these pairs.
And it was reported that runaway models refused to wear them for catwalk because they're worried they might fall down!
Hard to digest that, huh?
I have seen only one human being who could pull this off.
Lady Gaga!
If you watch her amazing 'Bad Romance' video, you will see her strutting two of McQueen's crazy heels! I go ga-ga everytime I see the video!

Oh, I know you'll say "Well, I can wear and sit in the shoes, too. What's the big deal?"

Well no, she didn't sit only. She actually walked in that shoes. She paraded those 'Alien' shoes.

And look at the advertisement for the collection, exquisite and risque!!

Love the shoes. Love the snakes. Love the model, Raquel Zimmermann. Love the colours.

This is the most exciting advertisement I've ever seen in my entire 24-years of life!

*Can you spot the shoes darlings? Shot by the talented Nick Knight*

I would really love and are thankful if I were given a chance of wearing them.Even if it's only for one minute. Seriously.McQueen doesn't plan to sell them on retail though. If they ever do, I can't wait to see the price tag! Must cost a fortune!

Things people do for fashion.

Utterly mesmerizing.

Shoe Fetish

If there's one thing I can never have enough, it would definitely be shoes.
I think it all started when I was in 13 years old.
I was in Form 1 in SMK Munshi Abdullah and I bought my first baby blue wedges from Vincci.
God I loved that wedges so much.
So basically I learnt stability of wearing heels from my first wedges.
Then I bought few more wedges and kitten heels from Vincci.

Before I got my first 4-inch nude strappy stilettos from Sembonia.
It was GORGEOUS.
I adored it. No. I worshiped it.
I wore it practically everywhere. Even to JJ just to buy groceries.
Not to mention it was quite comfortable.
I had it until I was in Form 3 or 4.
Oh yes, I nurse my shoes. Literally.
I wipe them after wearing it. Put them back in their box.
So that's how my shoes can last up to 2, 3 years.
I can tell if someone has worn my shoes secretly.
Mmhmm, I'm nuts.

I practically wear heels everytime I go out.
I practically make heels practical to wear.
And I don't lie everytime I say flip-flops give me blisters at my soles and toenails.

But anyway, I have 2 Ipanema flip-flops, 2 Prima and Malindi from Crocs and a pair of flat gladiators at the moment.
So it's not that I totally ditch flats.
I don't loathe flats.
I just love stilettos too much.
Unconditionally.

*Tanja S London*

Oh my.
This is so goddess-tic.
I'm not a fan of wedges anymore but this basically made my jaw dropped.

*Shankara by OrangeLittle*

I've always wanted to wear booties.
It's so in the season right now!
So many to choose from!
But I don't think it's practical in our humid weather.
Gorgeous. Gorgeous.

p/s- I bought 3 shoes online today. Will upload pics once they arrive. Burnt my purse a bit but totally worth it. *wink*
