Delayed Post: London Day 1 (020610)

I have so many things to write about but I just couldn't find the right time.
Writing surely needs you to be in the "mood" or you'll end writing about crappy things.
My M.Ed classes are starting next week so I thought, "let's get this done and over with".
I know I want to write about my trip because whenever I'm feeling down or exhausted from work, I can read the posts again and again to remind myself of the super great time I had there.
Super great time.

So, let us begin.

*boarding pass*
*daddy in tourist-mode. haha*
*dinner at mcd klia. i thought this picture is adorable*

We took a flight from KLIA around 9.20pm with Etihad Airways.
It was a 2-4-2 seating arrangement and every seat is provided with a cute pillow, blanket, headphone and "TV" set. The monitor was a touch screen but passengers' were also provided with remote control.
Ours were just economy class so in terms of comfort, I'd give 5/10.
Poor my daddy and mommy, they couldn't really sleep well.
Luckily I managed to sleep most of the time throughout the flight and only got up for meals.
Seriously, holidays may ease my mind and heart of any problem but it's definitely not helping me losing weight.

*mommy and daddy eating dinner*
*aish playing 'timon and pumbaa' game*
*me watching "Shutter Island". again*

We arrived in Abu Dhabi at 12am (their time or 4am M'sian time), approximately six hours after we departed.
Our flight to London would be at 2am so basically we killed the time by going to washroom (airplane's toilet is never comfortable) and took snacks.
It wasn't a really big airport but it was very crowded and neat.
And I was too tired to take any picture.

*mr. cloud*
*that's london darling!*

To cut things short, we arrived at Heathrow at around 7am (London time) and despite feeling exhausted and dehydrated, we just couldn't hide our excitement.
I remember myself praising Allah for so many times upon landing, thanking Him for giving our family this great opportunity.
And being a crybaby, I almost cried.
Kalau pergi Tanah Suci ni tentu menangis kaw kaw.
The weather was nice. Breezy. It's already summer so it's not really cold but the air was cool enough that we could walk for about 2km to our apartment without sweating.
That's what I love so much, you'll never sweat.
I tell you, I don't mind taking tubes everyday if I were to live in London.
If it's in Malaysia, forget it. You'll be sweating like a pig after waiting for the train in just 15mins.

So for the first day, we walked around Egdware Road, took lunch at Chicken Cottage, bought Oyster Card and headed to Oxford Street!
I swear I don't mind sleeping on Oxford St.!
hahaha
It was beautiful. Crowded. But beautiful.
I fell in love with London in London.
duhh!
I must admit, what really caught my eyes would be the structure of the buildings.
I'm not sure if it's the authentic buildings but they've turned them into shopping heaven!
I went to the famous Primark and I was stunned looking at the price tag.
It's safe to say that I had officially spent my first 50Pounds in Primark. On the first I arrived in London. And I still have a week in London.
Darn you Primark!
hahaha

*magnificent!*

So after Primark we went home, it was only 5pm but we were so jetlagged, everyone had already slept.
And so I had missed my first sunset in London, which should be at around 9pm.
Well, more great things to come.
=)
