Best 2010 Memories!

Okay, so 2010 is ending and 2011 is really happening anytime soon.
How do I feel?
Hurm, there are ups and downs in my life along 2010.
But I have to admit it's one of the most exciting, fantastic years of my life!
Where should I start?

I remember starting off this blog in late 2009.
*smile*
It was just for fun, not the kind of blogs where I write the happenings of my life all the time.
I just wanted to share my views of the world, what I like and loathe.
And up until this minute I'm still glad I started blogging.

There were two best things happened in 2010.
First, I visited London and Paris.
I know I only wrote first part of the trip and kept procrastinating the other parts but I promise, one sweet day I'll post pictures of the two amazing cities in the world!
London is a shopping heaven and people are so warm and friendly and I so wanna live there!
I wanna go to the numerous museums every week, stroll along Oxford Street every other day and picnic at Hyde Park, just sitting there reading good novels all day throughout summer!
Oh God, what I would give for that to come true!
And Eiffel Tower, Paris? It's Eiffel Tower darlings! It's one of the 'must-go-places' before you die!
I would want to visit Paris again.
Thanks to Air Asia, it doesn't seem too impossible now!
Anyway, the next best thing happened in my year 2010 must absolutely be meeting Adam Lambert!
Oh yes honey and it was the best five minutes of my life!
I got lucky during his Glamnation Tour on the 14th Oct 2010 at Bukit Jalil where I met him backstage before his phenomenal concert started.
I am a huge fan of him and meeting him was not even in my wish list just because I thought it's never gonna happen!
It was a-mah-zing!
Plus, I didn't only meet him, I also won an autographed Glambox!
Schweeet!

*that's me in my purple heels next to Adam!*
*i looked bloated. whatever*
*For Your Entertainment CD, music videos VCD, remixes & a glam mouse pad!*

2010 will also be most memorable because I turn 25 this year.
God, my age is a quarter century. Okay let's not go into details about my age.
hahahaha
Another reason 2010 is a good year is because of the great movies all year long.
Avatar, Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Parnassus (okay, not so great but Heath Ledger over-the-Everest-top-amazed me!), Nine, Alice in Wonderland, Clash of the Titans, Shutter Island, Prince of Persia, Inception, Takers (Paul Walker!!), Toy Story 3, Rapunzel...
I haven't watched Narnia and The Tourist, by the way.
Will probably do early next year ;)

What else huh? Hurmmm...
Oh I bought my first smartphone, a Blackberry Curve which has been fantastic so far! A reason I have a Twitter account now.
And oh, I bought my first Marc Jacobs!!! *pengsan*
I went to Penang twice and Cameron Highlands thrice this year for holidays. My parents just love CH too much.
I have developed some sort of romance feeling with Chuck Bass. Darn those salmon suit he's wearing! He looked so good in it!
My darling friend Nashima got married. I cried. Her wedding was my wedding of the year ;)
I dreamed of Ian Somerhalder every night. Well, almost every night. But none in those dreams he bites my neck or sucks my blood. I prefer him doing so. muahaha
I bought almost ten pairs of shoes.
And one thing I am so glad happened this year would be passing all my M.Ed subjects. The final semester was the toughest!
*humongous smile*

So what have I not achieved this year?
Love.
Not wanting to be mushy here but it's nice to have someone you're excited to have dinner with or watch movies together. Or just knowing you're loved.
Well, good things are worth waiting for.
=)

This year there's less drama, just more great times with my family and friends.
My nephew is getting smarter these days. He's getting into pre-school next year. Oh please don't grow too fast sweetheart!
I also spend too much 'bonding' times with my friends -karaoke, steamboat, road trip, lepak melepak, gossiping, shopping!

I have a great, fantastic, amazing and wonderful 2010!
I am not yet a millionaire but I am forever grateful.
I thank Allah for everything, for leading the way for me. For all the wonderfull-ness around me. For the blessings HE gives my family and friends. For the strentghs I have in me to go through every fear, worry and sadness. For the rezeki HE showers my family. For my tears and laughters in becoming a better person.
All praises to Allah.

So come quick 2011!
I have nothing to be worried of but to live life to the fullest!
Happy new year everyone!
May you have a blast!
Leave the past behind and look forward for great things to happen!
See you next year!
Cheers!
=)

A Tangled Tale

*err, not this rapunzel but she's just so beautiful i have to share this pic*

Let's talk movies, baby!
I watched Rapunzel: A Tangled Tale a few weeks ago and it was hilarious!
Effingly hilarious!
One of the best Disney animated ever, I must say.

I laughed, cried, laughed again and again.
I actually watched it twice, the second time was complimentary because my friend's fiance is the manager of the cinema and we wanted to kill the time.

The basic storyline is still the same as originally written by Brothers Grimm but of course, there's 'a tangled tale' along the way.
What I like most about the movie is the fact that the artists emphasized more on the facial expressions of every character, including Maximus the horse and Pascal the chameleon.
So adorable!
Rapunzel is voiced by Mandy Moore and Flynn Rider by Zachary Levi.
Moore is already known as singer and actress. She made me cry watching 'A Walk to Remember'. Another beautiful simple drama which I've watched countless time.
Levi is better known as Chuck in, well, the series 'Chuck'. He can sing too!

Okay so I am a sucker for romantic love scenes and I dropped a few tears during the moment both Rapunzel and Flynn were in the boat, flooded by lanterns up above.
The feeling was magical.
If I ever get lucky, I just want to feel it for real.
To love and be loved in return.
*sigh*

*Flynn & Rapunzel*

Talking to the moon...

I should write more often.
I told that to myself thousands time already.
I.hate.procrastination.
But I still do it anyway.

First and foremost, Salam Ma'al Hijrah.
May Allah forgive our wrongdoings throughout whole last year and bless us with endless happiness throughout this new year.

And to Christians all over the world, Merry Christmas.
Hope you had a blast, tore lots of gift wrappers, ate too many good food and got badly drunk that you couldn't even remember whether you brush your teeth the night before.
Okay, just kidding.
Happy holidays.

Everytime Christmas is over, we know one thing for sure.
The year is meeting its end, too.
Ugh.

Pre-2011.

Finally got myself 2011 planner.
A very simple planner. A petite planner so I can always put it in my handbag.
I used to religiously keep diaries but now that I don't have much time to write every single details of my daily life, a planner would do. At least it helps reminding me of things I need to do.
I can be very forgetful, mind you.

It's really happening, huh?
2011?
365 days surely fly daym fast this year.
In about three weeks 2010 is ending and I feel like I still have so many things I wanna do before this year ends.
Do you feel the same way I do?

Pfffttt!

Longing for this feeling.
=(

Sluts Wanted!

*Edgware Road Station*

Seriously?
LOL!

A Reason for Dinosaurs To Extinct. Hurmm..

*Natural History Museum, United Kingdom*

Could be.
It's just something we'll never know.
LOL!

Wednesday Addams

I miss Wednesday.
I love it that she's not afraid to be herself.
Why? Never thought she could be a role model?
Well, think again.
You might find bits of her in your own self, darlings.

The sweetness in her eyes...

Leighton Meester.
Better known as Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl TV series.
Is it weird if I so badly wanna touch her hair in this picture?

I Love You =)

Isn't this nice?
We should realize by now love is a universal feeling.
Too universal, in fact, that it provides the best and possibly the worst feeling for human beings.
Nothing is impossible when you're in love and nothing is possible when you're heart broken.
It's a beautiful thing to fall in love.
And I'm sure it would be lovely to go through it again.
At the right moment.
With the right person.
The one.

Time waits for no man but I believe love surely does.
And so I'll wait.

*OMG I smell cheesy-ness! LOL!*

Happy Eid ul Adha!

Alhamdulillah, we live for another Eid ul Adha.
May Allah bless us, our prayers and our qurban (sacrifice).
I am more than grateful to be with my family on this beautiful rainy day.
Hope you had a blast, too.

European Union Film Festival 2010 by GSC

I assume most of you know how it feels to be disappointed.
You're excited about something and in a split second, you feel like crying your heart out.
Or just stand there listening to yourself breathing slowly.
Okay I might have over-reacted but a few years ago I really wanted to watch a French movie, "De battre mon coeur s'est arrêté" or "The Beat That My Heart Skipped".
Do google the synopsis of the movie if you're interested.
Below is the movie poster.

And you know international screenings won't stay for too long in Malaysian theaters, around two weeks or so.
I saw this at e@Curve (used to be Cineleisure) website and I really wanted to watch it. The title itself was fascinating enough to me, but it's actually a thriller. So I booked tickets and rushed to the cinema, only to find out there's no more screening and that the website might have not published the correct information.
The worst part was, "The last show was actually last night", I quoted the ticket seller.
I was only a day late!
I haven't watched it up until today. Couldn't find it anywhere and Amazon is just so expensive!

Anyhow, there's always rainbow after rainy days.
GSC is currently having its international screening for this year and I have a particular movie I really wanna watch.
"Same Same But Different"
Again, please google for its amazing storyline.
*trailer*
It's a German movie but also shot in Phnom Penh. Looks lovely.
Can't wait. Hopefully I won't miss it this time.
Feeling disappointed twice is just too depressing.

MyMarcJacobsScreamsEverythingGlamorousAndFabulous!

I mentioned about my first Marc Jacobs purchase here months ago.
The Marc Jacobs Mirror Heart Tote in Gold.
The 'affordable luxury' as Mr Marc Jacobs named the collection
And here's her baby picture!
She can walk now!
I'm a proud mommy.
She needs to be wiped using baby wipes after I take her out. Very hygienic, this girl I tell you.
It may not be the 'Turnlock Faridah' but I'm still happy with my first MJ.
I totally love it! And I always prefer totes because I can throw basically everything in it.
Took me few months saving up and I am so grateful.
In the meantime, more about my favourite bags here.
Okay now my baby wants to be walked around.
Woot woot!

It's not just a bag. It's Prada...

If you ever thought from that title, I actually have bought a Prada, well I can wish nothing more than for it to come true.
Someday.
Anyway, found this when I was looking at new stuff on 'Women's Handbags' on eBay and saw this!
Hilarious!
OMG if there's a Backstreet Boys or Westlife or Britney Spears backpack when I was 12 I swear I'd buy it!
Being 12 is awesome! I need Doc Brown's time machine! Pronto!

Everything about colours!

I know it's already waaaay past the festival but I just need to include this amazing coloured-rice grain art.
Snapped this picture at Pavilion KL looooooong ago when I was out having lunch with some friends.

Yup, those were all rice grain people!
Nice work!
Apart from muruku, this is what I look forward most every year.
Happy belated Diwali!

It'a been a while...

I should write more often.
Usually I want to but most of the times I'd be too lazy.
Blame it all to procrastination.

At the moment I'm blissfully holiday-ing in my hometown.
I'm done with my classes, InsyaAllah, results are still not out but I still have my dissertation to complete.
I really hope I pass all subjects regardless how tough they were.
Well, you know, at this point CGPA is not much important as passing all subjects.
The thought of having to re-sit for academic discourse is just too terrifying.
I'm taking a break until Aidiladha before finishing my dissertation.

Earlier, I wanted to fill in what's been missing but I left my planner in Shah Alam.
Darn.
I need to look for new planner for 2011.
Gosh, it's almost 2011.
Crazy how time really flies.

Meanwhile, I make myself available every week for new episodes of 'Gossip Girl' and 'Vampire Diaries'!
And I try to watch 'How I Met Your Mother' back to back!
Thank God for the Internet and DVD!
I'm now officially a couch potato.
Well, minus the potato actually. I need to lose some weight.
hahahahaha

Chuck Bass is so adorable! Even in Bahasa Malaysia!
=D

Miss MacGyver

I'd always thought myself to be handy.
I know how to change the fuse inside the plugs, fix leaking pipes, change the lamps and starter plugs, change door knobs...
I guess it runs in the blood, my father has always been the handy type.
He thinks calling for people would be a waste of money.
For example, when I was locked from the outside of my room, the house guard hammered the knob until it's broken into pieces.
I called few people who can fix the door and the charges were between RM30-RM70.
One fine day, I sent my duvet to a laundry centre and there's a hardware shop next to my laundry centre. I asked the salesperson about door knobs and he taught me the way to ensemble the door knob, all by yourself.
The knob only cost me RM15.
I did it on my own.
And I was very proud of myself.

So when my Sony Ericsson K770i handphone digits couldn't work last week, I told myself I need to fix it on my own this time because just around 8months ago I spent almost RM150 just to change the digits.
Blardy RM150!
I could add a few more hundreds and get myself a new handphone!
I had to buy torx screwdrivers, though, which cost me RM8.
Torx screws basically looks like a six-petals flower, not like Phillips screws.

*torx screwdrivers*

*torx tip. pic googled.*

*phillips. pic googled.*

*daddy's handy screwdrivers*

Carefully, I disassembled my K770i, starting from the back cover, pulled out the battery and unscrewed all 10 super tiny screws. Phillips screwdrivers were also needed.
After almost 2hours figuring out what really happened to the digits, the problem was actually with the connection of the electronic circuit board. It was a bit lose and upon hearing the click sound, the digits' lights came back to life!
Okay I was being dramatic.
But still, I was so happy with the fact that I don't have to buy a new handphone.
Especially with my financial state at the moment.
hahahaha
Darn it I probably had paid RM150 just to fix a loosen board!

*during the operation*

*operation: successful! yippee!*

If you can fix your handphone, there's nothing that you cannot fix.
Right. Let's hope so.

Happy Twen-teen Five!

Okay so I am a quarter-century-th years old now.
I felt old.
Like, really old.
Then I looked into the mirror and saw the same face, the same chicken-pox scars and almost pimple-free skin (yeah, right!) and thought,
"I'm still me. Nothing has really changed."
Age is just a number, peeps. I should have known that.

Thank you all for your warm wishes and prayers.
I really appreciate that.
I'm stepping into a new age with bliss and I'm glad I grow old with wisdom.
I am grateful for my lovely family and friends.
I am a slow learner but still, education is for life.
Experience is the best teacher.
A friend once quoted, "don't just stay alive, learn to live your life."
That would be my new resolution now.
hahahaha

Anyway, my sister bought me a cake from Secret Recipe. Guess what she wrote on top of the cake:
I know!
Not helping, right?!
She should have written something like, 'stay cute' or 'happy 25th'.
Wait until it's your turn, darling sis.
*wicked smile*
No big celebration, though, just a small and nice family dinner.
I guess I'm passed those big parties.
I already had amazing parties when I was younger.
Once I had a party at KFC Taman Melawati where my daddy reserved the whole space on the first floor and invited almost all of my classmates. Even teachers!
I had the prettiest dress on, pink mary-janes and long socks.
*where did i put all of the pictures?!*
I also had multiple birthday celebrations at home, delicious homemade birthday cakes and fun games- musical chair was a must-have!
And I've to admit, the only moment I looked forward would be unwrapping the presents and reading aloud birthday cards!
Those were the days.
*sigh*

I would also like to wish Happy Birthday to my fellow Librans out there!
I am still indecisive but I feel like I have been more strong-headed.
I hate being indecisive!
It's not fun when you take too much time deciding whether to eat 'nasi goreng kampung' or 'nasi goreng cendawan'.
They're still nasi goreng, for heaven's sake!
I should learn to decide faster from now on.
Sometimes my brain just stops functioning when the menu has almost 100 types of food.
I don't think I'll ever be a restaurant entreprenuer.

Happy 25th birthday to me!
More great years to come!
Bring it on, baby!

Justin Bieber is arrested!

Well, by the CSI team, fortunately.
=P
His voice is getting rusty, he's hitting puberty.
hahahaha
Well good things don't last long, honey.
So embrace it while you still have it.

Bumblebee Camaro Crash at Transformer 3 Filming in DC

A cousin of mine whom I fondly refer to as Abg Topet had this on his Facebook page a couple of days ago.
He wrote "Damn!! Bumblebee had a crash during Transformer 3 filming.. Why didn't he transform??"
I find his statement super cute!
Seriously, why didn't Bumblebee transform?!
He's my favourite!
Darn that Camaro is a waste now.
Poor Bumbleebee.
On a happier note, can't wait for Transformers 3.
Optimus Prime is looking good!

The Aftermath

This post-concert post (eh?) is gonna be short, sweet and simple.
I hope.

I had so much fun that day, from the time I arrived to the last minute of the moment.
Met new fabulous, non-judgmental people and meeting Adam was definitely the highlight.
My partner in crime, Aimi, said she went to Usher's concert few months back and Adam was much better, vocal and performance wise.
On top of that, there was nothing gay about Adam's concert. No kissing, crotch grabbing or even scandalous dance moves. He's a professional. He promised and signed a 'deal' and kept his words.
I hope people won't judge him anymore but to agree that he's talented and he's all about his talents.

Adding to that, remember I mentioned Iqwal (not Iqwan!), the first opening act who sang Jay Sean's 'Down'?
Well, thanx to the wonder of Google, he's actually one amazing singer!
Won few international awards already.
Read more about him, here.

So there you have it, all about the one and only Adam Lambert.
Some people adore him, some people said he's a disgrace.
Just because he has been honest all this while by admitting he's gay.
So now it's wrong to be honest?
What are you trying to imply here by protesting his concert?
Believe me, people don't become gay just by watching a concert or become friends with gays.
What are we teaching our children?
To discriminate?
Instead of explaining to them the rights and wrongs?
Well, good job then. You must be proud of yourself.

At the beginning of his concert, Adam said his concert is all about love.
Can't we just leave it there?

*still waiting for meet&greet pictures & autographed Glambox from Sony Music MY! =)*

*btw, those who missed the concert, you can watch videos posted by the fans on YouTube. go quick and kick yourself for missing the amazing show!*

if i had you, honey

I still woke up this morning with a hangover.
Sue me.
hahaha

Okay so this is the while-concert post.
We walked in at around 7pm, I was having the time of the month, so we went straight to into the stadium and found our seats.
BTW, there's a decent prayer room in the stadium, so not to worry on where to perform your Maghrib prayers.
The first opening act was Iqwan, whom I have no idea who he is but according to the MC, he won several awards international. I'll Google him later. He dressed similarly like Adam, guess everyone is affected by Mr. Lambert himself. He sang Jay Sean's 'Down' and it was not so bad! Impressive for someone I've never heard about.
Next up was Daniel Lee, who came as the first runner-up in Malaysian Idol. He belted out Bon Jovi's 'It's My Life' and it was definitely a great start for the concert! The whole stadium sang along!

*iqwal. pic courtesy of Sony Music MY*

*daniel lee*

*big crowd and humongous Digi balloons!*

*my partner in crime, Aimi!!!*

*our Glambert heels*

Adam only came out at 9pm. We heard there was a protest going on outside the stadium by PAS. So most probably Adam waited for them to step back before he started the show. I'm not gonna comment on the protest because it's a waste of energy and these people should actually go home and spend time with their family. Or check out bars and pubs instead, not a concert where there's no alcohol served or people kissing. Seriously.

Now back to Adam, the show-stopper started off the show with 'Voodoo', followed by 'For Your Entertainment'. It was amazing!! I screamed at the top of my lungs! The whole stadium sang and danced along. Followed with other fabulous songs from his album including 'Sleepwalker', 'Aftermath', 'Whataya Want From Me', 'Strut', 'Fever', 'Soaked', 'Music Again', 'If I Had You', 'Sure Fire Winners', '20th Century Boy' and 'Mad World'. Did I miss any song??

*singing 'Voodoo'. sorry for the low quality of my camera. hehe*

Prior to the concert, before buying the tix, I actually Googled about his last concerts and I stumbled upon a page from US where a fan asked whether he/she should go to Adam' concert. Another fan commented that Adam's concert is worth going because he actually sounds better live. I definitely have to agree. His songs sounded million times better when he sang live that night! He sang 'Mad World' in an upbeat version and it was the best version I've ever heard from anyone!

It was thrilling! People were screaming and jumping and dancing! He stopped singing at one time and introduced his bands and dancers. The moment he introduced Tommy, whom he's contoversially kissed on stage, everybody was shouting 'Kiss! Kiss! Kiss' and Adam & Tommy looked at each other and I could tell everyone was holding their breath, wondering if they'd kiss. Of course they didn't! Adam signed a 'deal', remember? But the teasing was more than enough for us!

I'm gonna let you feast your eyes now.
These pictures are taken from Sony Music Malaysia Facebook page. Better quality!
Enjoy!

He's hot! The whole stadium could feel the burning temperature from his energy!
Oh my I can't stop talking about his show.
To wrap up the amazaing experience, I would say it has been one of the greatest nights of my life! I'm not really a concert-goer but if Adam comes back, I'd definitely grab the tickets fast! He has the best live vocal, top showmanship and amazing personality!
He's the showstopper baby!

*okay, breathe in, breathe out*

maybe it's time for miracles...

It's gonna be a long multiple posts on Adam Lambert, everyone.
Please bear with me.
I still have hangover from his Glamnation Tour last night.
hahahaha

Seriously, I had the time of my life!
He's one talented entertainer, people and no I am not biased.
Like I said before, I first read about him coming to Malaysia sometime in July and I was skeptical about it, knowing the government.
After everything has been confirmed, the tickets began to sell, I started planning.
Previously I was supposed to have my last class for my Statistics, together with quizzes.
I looked at K.Mirs and almost cried of disappointment.
Then K.Mirs suggested one brilliant idea, to do the quiz early out of 'emergency' and I smiled again.
I went to buy the tickets and as I walked out from Rock Corner in Subang Parade, I swear I had the biggest sheepish grin on my face!
And then in the next class, guess what? My lecturer would replace our 14th class to Saturday 9th. I agreed right away, happily.

I first planned to tag my baby sis, Amy, along because nobody wants to join me!
*and now zurs regretted not going*
On a condition: I've to pay half of Amy's tix if I want to drag her. I could not not agree.
Just a few days after Aimi contacted me through Facebook, asking if I'm going because she's no partner in crime as well.
Well, the rest is history darling.

*she's adorable!*

*with Fahsya. what a surprise to meet her there! she won the tickets! lucky girl!*

We reached Stadium Putra really early, around 5pm.
People were already lining up but because our tix are seated, we have nothing to rush about.
There's Digi booth, the sponsor and Sony Music which is Adam's record label.
Sony Music had a contest going on which was called 'Glamberts Hall of Fame' where your pictures were taken and Adam self-picked five winners.
The winners were to meet Adam backstage.
Now, hold your breathe darlings.
Because I was one of the winners!!!
I took the picture for fun, thinking "what the heck, I'm here with my 4-inches studded heels, might as well I'd just go for it".
I was eating A&W nuggets when they called me and I ran (in my 4-inches studded heels) to the booth to get the backstage pass.
I had to fill up a form and boy my fingers were shaking of excitement!

*the backstage pass*

*the winners*
*the aunty in the middle is 50 years old! she came with her hubby and daughter all the way from penang, all dressed up! how cool is that?!*

We had a loooong walk heading backstage but it was so worth it!
He's such a nice, warm person. Smiling and talking non-stop, he actually asked us questions when we have like, thousands of questions to ask him.
He said stuff like, "You all looked great! Congratulations!", "Thank you so much for coming, hope you'll enjoy my show" and the best part was "Wow nice shoes!" at the same time pointing to my heels.
He's just the sweetest!
Darn it I feel like stuffing him in my handbag and run!
He's taller and thinner than I thought and he smells good! Oh yes, I was that close with him I could smell him!
hahahaha
It was only for 5mins but still, others would probably kill for that 5mins.
We weren't allowed to take personal pics or ask for autographs.
Sony Music MY will email us the pics and call us for Adam's Glambox autographed CD.
Did I mention I had the time of my life?

Okay so this is basically a pre-concert post.
We're gonna have while- and post-concert posts as well.
=D
